Lesson plan of all types are useful for every beginner teachers whether it'd be prepared for high level or low level.  And the lesson plans are usefull for experienced teachers too. I am turning on lesson plan of JAMESTOWN SETTLEMENT and took advantage.

Main attraction of the publication is the place introduction THE
OLD DOMINION VIRGINA.

It is the tenth state joining on fifty states union in 1788.

Virginia is 42,800 square miles , 35th in area, but twelfth in
population. It is similar with Switzerland.

George Washington's leading revolutionary war broke against Britain for the independent state of Virginia. Another nick name for Virginia is "MOTHER OF PRESIDENT ". George Washington was elected as the first president of US and ruled from 1789 to 1797. Four of the first five US presidents were Virginians. Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), James Madison
( 1809-1817 ) and James Monre (1817 - 1825) were Virginians.

Except the four in first five US Presidents, the other four Presidents also were being born by Virginia. They were William Hennery Harrison (1841), John Tyler (1841 - 1845), Zachary Tyler (1849 - 1850) and Woodrow Willson (1913 - 1921).

About 750,000 tourists visit Virginia every year. The Blue Ridge Parkway is among the most visited place. The national park is stretching almost 500 miles from Shenandoah national park to the Great Smoky Mountain in North Caroline along the crest of the Blue Ridgemon mountains. The Great Dismal Swamp is a favorite spot for the bikers, hikers, birders and fishermen. The parkway took more than fifty years to complete since 1930. Many attractive spots are available in
Virginia, such as natural Bridge. Another destination is series of caves in the eastern US. Millions of years old caverns were discovered in 1878. Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello, near Charlottesville is the most famous. People see and learn Jefferson was a thinker, a writer, an inventes, an architect , a man with complete personal. Another popular estates are Mount Vernon and the beloved home of George Washington, which is located near Alexandria, on the Potamac river.

The historic site, Colonial Williamburg is the best living museums.  Right of Colonial  era is still attractive crafts, such as barrel  making and blacksmithing. People can also learn about the lives of  slaves and freed blacks who made up half of the population of Colonial  Williamsburg.

^ENGLISH TEACHING FORUM HAS GREAT MANY THINGS FOR THE TEACHERS.^

ENGLISH TEACHING FORUM VOLUM 47 NUMBER 2 2009 !

- - -> TO TEACH STANDARD ENGLISH OR WORLD ENGLISHES? A BALANCE APPROACH  TO INSTRUCTION.

A researchable article by Thomas S.C.Farrel and Sonia Martin have presented that how the linguists and the teachers of English language move on the recent day modern world. The article suggests to give the value for other regions' languages as well as British English and American English.

*According to article, MacArthir maintains, standard English has at  least three identifying characteristics :

(1) It is easiest to recognize in print because written conventions are similar worldwide.

(2) It is usually used by news presenters.

(3) Its usage relates to the speaker social class and education.

The writers mention English on A BALANCED APPROACH TO

English LANGUAGE  INSTRUCTION as

*Absence of possessive inflections : "My mummy friend."

*Use of particles, "Hurry up lah!"

*Use of borrowings, "Don't be so kaisu."

*Inversion for questions with be, "you don't want to go, is it?"

*Inversion for questions with can, "Like that can or not?"

But balanced approach would include three key considerations.

(1) Teachers need to carefully consider their teaching context.

(2) Teachers should value their learners' current English usage.

(3) Teachers need to prepare learners for future international English

encounters.

The writers adjust the SAMPLE CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES with the webcite as:

I like the title USING PUBLIC SPEAKING TASKS IN ENGLISH

LANGUAGE  TEACHING , which is more impressive and I consider

that language is improving by the speaking to public.

The advantages of public speaking are:

(1) Public speaking provides opportunities to practice all four language skills.

(2) Public speaking supports developments of critical skills.

(3) Public speaking promotes learning.

When I reach at page no. 30, I accepted to Natalia Orova of Jan

Evangelista Durkyne University in Ustinad la Labem(The Czech

Republic). The recording helps the teachers  who are pre stage or the

beginners can have chance to see or listen own teaching activities.

The professor has provided the point of views on

* What is reflective teaching and why is it important?

*When should critical reflection start?

*Video recording as a stimulus for critical reflection.

*Steps for Video recording and self viewing.

*Outcome of recording and reflecting for pre-service teachers.
